About Jessica
Jessica is the office manager and law clerk in the bankruptcy department at wh Law . Originally from Little Rock, Jessica chose to attend an out-of-state Catholic College, St. Louis University in part because the neighborhoods and districts reminded her of Little Rock, a big city with a small-town feel. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics and had a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant.
Jessica always considered going to law school and even took the LSAT when she was a senior in college. It wasn’t until she married Brandon Haubert and heard about his workday as one of the managing partners at wh Law that the seed took root. Jessica wanted to learn more about the law and was excited about the opportunity to work at wh Law where Brandon was changing the landscape of the law field. Jessica’s biggest goal is to pass the bar exam in 2023 and begin her journey as a lawyer. She knows that having to call a lawyer is generally a stressful time, and hopes to have a positive, direct impact on clients during trying and difficult times.
Jessica’s motto is “Eat the Frog.” She learned this phrase her first week of law school, and it comes from a Mark Twain quote: “If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.” She finds that getting the toughest things out of the way first thing in the morning set your day up for success. This motto allows her to balance and wear many hats: MOM of four children, Thomas, Andrew, Betty, and Lyla; WIFE of Brandon Haubert, BOSS of support staff at wh Law ; and STUDENT of William H. Bowen School of Law. A typical day for Jessica usually begins incredibly productive, getting up at 5am to study or work out, then focusing on getting the family ready for the day before hearing to work. After work, she heads to the law school for a few hours, and after coming home tries to catch up on dishes and laundry, reviewing kids’ backpacks and planning for the next day.
Jess is a self-proclaimed foodie and loves to try new foods. Although always looking to expand her palette, a good day ends for Jessica with a good bowl of beans, cornbread, and greens cooked in just a little too much bacon fat unwinding in front of the tv watching The Office with the kids tucked away for the night.
