Riley Thomas Schumacher is a dedicated advocate for justice, fueled by his passion for the Constitution and a deep-seated belief in the importance of safeguarding individual freedoms. As a Staff Attorney at WH Law, Riley brings his strong commitment to defending the rights of his clients to every case he handles.
Born in Wichita, Kansas, and raised amidst the picturesque landscapes of Kansas City and the Lake of the Ozarks, Riley’s upbringing instilled in him a profound appreciation for the principles enshrined in the Constitution. From a young age, he knew he wanted to become a lawyer, recognizing the pivotal role attorneys play in upholding the rights and liberties of all Americans.
Riley pursued his passion for law at the University of Kansas School of Law, where he studied constitutional law and civil liberties. During his time in law school, Riley gained invaluable experience as an intern district attorney in Johnson County, Kansas, and as a Legal Fellow for the House Judiciary Committee in Washington, D.C., focusing on antitrust issues.
After graduating law school, Riley embarked on his legal career as a business immigration attorney, advocating for professionals and entrepreneurs seeking work authorization in the United States. However, it was his transition to domestic relations law that truly ignited his sense of purpose, allowing him to directly impact the lives of individuals facing some of life’s most challenging circumstances.
At WH Law, Riley practices in Domestic Relations, where he uses his exceptional communication skills and empathetic nature to connect with clients on a personal level. He views each client as a unique individual with their own story and priorities, allowing him to tailor his approach to best serve their needs.
Riley’s dedication to his clients is matched by his passion for the law itself. He is particularly interested in the First and Fourth Amendments, recognizing them as pillars of democracy that must be vigorously defended. Riley believes that lawyers play a crucial role in preserving these rights and ensuring that ordinary citizens can exercise them without fear or hindrance.
Outside of the courtroom, Riley finds solace and rejuvenation in the beauty of nature. Whether he’s floating down the rivers of the Ozarks with friends, teeing off on the golf course with his dad, or hiking alongside his mom, Riley cherishes the moments spent outdoors. He also enjoys spending quality time with his family at the lake, where lifelong memories are made.
In those rare moments of downtime, Riley can be found indulging in a timeless pastime: lounging on the couch and binge-watching Netflix.
However, his true inspiration and support come from his loving family—his parents, Scott and Keri, and his sister, Regan—who have stood by him unwaveringly throughout his life’s journey.
With his unique blend of legal expertise, empathy, and personal integrity, Riley is committed to guiding his clients through life’s toughest challenges with unwavering support and steadfast representation.
